The Generator House

During our Visit in November 2005 installing the equipment, we discovered that the generator was being manhandled in and out of a building, which included 2 steps. This would soon have either got damaged or far more seriously someone would get injured.

Because of this problem we had a site meeting with a builder, We sat down together and produced a drawing of a generator house and he then worked out the materials required. What we arrived at was a building, measuring 3 meters by 4 meters and 3 meters high, constructed of hand made concrete blocks with a concrete floor, tin roof and lockable steel door.

He presented an estimated cost for the complete job, which included transporting all the materials to site and making the blocks onsite.

A small cash advance was left with the headmaster before returning home, this would enable the building work to start. The remaining funds where raised and sent to the school.
